Carmen's musical background began at the age of 4.  Over time, she achieved First Class Honours in exams with the Royal Conservatory of Music up to Level 8 (practical and theory). She was the recipient of scholarships from local competitions and music festivals. Carmen began teaching piano in 2017. She has also worked with children who have special needs in other settings, and has a degree in Community Rehabiliation and Disability Studies. 

Carmen's first priority is to create a fun and positive learning environment for her students. To her, each student is unique. Everyone learns and takes in new concepts differently. She makes it a priority to adapt her teaching methods and techniques to each student's unique learning style. She believes that her positive and friendly personality helps to create a bond with her students. She has experience in teaching students of all ages and students with special needs. She loves experimenting with duets with her students - she enjoyed playing piano with her siblings while growing up.

In her spare time, Carmen loves baking and learning to cook new dishes. Her favourite genres to play on the piano are classical and tango.
