Jamie Wang, ARCT

Jamie is a classically trained pianist with an ARCT diploma in piano performance and a passion for helping students build a strong technical foundation while learning to truly feel the music. Her teaching is grounded in first principles: clear technique, thoughtful expression, and a sense of joy in every note!

She has worked with children in a variety of settings and adapts her approach to fit each student's goals and personality. Her lessons are structured yet creative, with the aim of nurturing confident and expressive musicians. Jamie believes music is meant to be shared, and her goal is to help students discover their own musical voice in a way that feels personal, empowering, and fun.

Fun facts: Outside of teaching, Jamie dreams of volunteering around the world, especially teaching music in rural communities and helping release sea turtle hatchlings in Costa Rica. She once broke her arm skiing but still finished the run without realizing. Her favorite dessert is anything matcha and she has been known to scour the town for the perfect matcha parfait.
