Jovis, LRSM, ATCL

Jovis is a passionate and experienced piano teacher originally from Hong Kong, with over 20 years of teaching experience working with children, teenagers, and adults of all levels. She holds professional performance diplomas including DipABRSM and LRSM from the ABRSM, as well as ATCL from Trinity College London.

Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, Jovis creates a welcoming and supportive environment for students from diverse backgrounds. Her teaching philosophy focuses on building good technique while making lessons enjoyable, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s personality. She believes that music should never feel stressful - instead, it should be something students look forward to, a space where they can grow in confidence, creativity, and self-expression.

Jovis especially loves working with children and teenagers, bringing patience, energy, and a sense of fun into every lesson. She understands that every student learns differently and takes pride in helping each one discover their own rhythm and musical voice.

Fun facts: Outside of teaching, Jovis enjoys singing, cooking delicious meals, and playing badminton. She also treasures spending quality time with friends and family.
