Julian Cruz, BMus

Julian is a classically trained pianist who holds a Bachelor of Music in music theory, history and composition from the University of Toronto. He has been playing piano since the age of five and began teaching in 2015.

Julian is initially from California and has just recently relocated to Calgary. In the US, he worked as a collaborative pianist for various secondary schools around his community, as well as musically directed and was a part of pit orchestras for his local musical theatre scene.

Julian's passion for music translates to his teaching, with the belief that music should always be enjoyed while striving to grow. Along with teaching piano, he also offers theory of all levels, songwriting and composition.

Apart from teaching, Julian enjoys spending time with his wife, Veronica, and playing pickleball and going fishing.
