Lycrecia is a dedicated piano teacher with over 25 years of experience helping students of all ages discover the joy of music. She has completed her Grade 8 RCM certification and has built a strong foundation in both practical performance and music theory. Throughout her career, she has specialized in teaching both children and adults, tailoring each lesson to meet individual goals while fostering confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music. In addition to traditional instruction, she is also skilled in teaching students to play by ear, helping them develop strong listening skills and musical intuition.
Her teaching approach is flexible and student-centered, incorporating a variety of resources to accommodate different learning styles. She places a strong emphasis on music theory and foundational understanding, believing that these skills are essential for well-rounded musical development. She has experience teaching in a wide range of settings, including private one-on-one lessons, group classes (Music for Young Children), senior homes, and daycares, which has equipped her to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Beyond teaching, Lycrecia finds great joy in living a balanced and creative life. She loves spending time with her adult children, exploring the outdoors through hiking, reading and travelling with her husband. Music continues to be a central part of her life, and she is passionate about sharing that joy with her students in a way that is encouraging, engaging, and meaningful.
