Maryna Horbatova, BMus ​​Piano and Voice

Maryna's musical career began when she was six years old and joined music school, making the crucial decision to dedicate herself to music, most importantly, the piano. Her piano lessons opened her eyes to a world where she was able to lose herself and be part of music. Every passing year merely intensified her passion for music and her skills.

As her love for music increased, Maryna had aspirations beyond recitals and contests. As she played, she truly experienced the depth of the emotions in each work, bringing to reality what the composer had envisioned through her performance. Music became so integral to her life that she enrolled at the Glièr Institute of Music in Kyiv, where she took up piano as her primary course.

While at the university, Maryna started teaching music to children, such as music theory and harmony. She enjoyed seeing her students learn new things and have fun while doing it. Upon completing her four years of study, she took vocal training at the Pavel Chubynsky Academy of Arts in Kyiv.

Aside from her private tutoring, Maryna worked as a musical director at a kindergarten, and she enjoyed instilling a passion for music in small children. Her most enjoyable aspect of teaching is watching her students shine at their best during recitals.

Having immigrated to Canada, Maryna was thrilled to get back to the job she adores—teaching.  She has worked with students of all ages and skill levels. Her aspiration is to give her students the enjoyment, enthusiasm, and passion for music.
