Roy Yang, ARCT

Roy has studied under the RCM since the age of 5, achieving the ARCT diploma. Beyond piano, he has since been involved with music through various different forms and means. Roy studies at the University of Calgary in finance, taking on teaching as a way of continuing his love for piano. Outside of his studies, Roy loves fishkeeping and the world of aquatics in addition to climbing and biking in his free time. 

Roy believes that passion always comes first in music. He enjoys pushing his students to explore music beyond just the book. By placing creativity and experimentation at the forefront of his teaching philosophies, he hopes to inspire and encourage students to explore and develop further their love for music.
