Who we are
Calgary Piano Expressions is a group of dedicated piano teachers passionate about sharing their love of music with their students! We have a fun-first focus, and hire teachers who share that approach.
We are hiring piano teachers to provide lessons:
- In students' homes, and/or
- From their own private studio
What the role will involve
Teachers will:
Keep lessons on time and on task while having fun
Adapt lessons to each student’s unique needs, abilities, and interests
Use their own unique style to teaching
Encourage students through constructive feedback
Integrate music theory into lessons/homework
Strive to continually improve in their teaching
Who we are looking for
Teachers who share our excitement for fun, professional piano teaching.
Education: Minimum Grade 8 RCM piano certificate is required (or equivalent). Piano pedagogy certification and/or a diploma/degree in music is an asset.
Experience: Experience teaching piano, working with children and adolescents, or related experience is required.
Location: Please apply ONLY if currently living in the city of Calgary and surrounding area, or if planning to move here independent of this position. This position typically requires traveling to student's homes; access to one's own vehicle is usually necessary for teaching in student's homes.
