Caleb Chan, RCM 10​
​Piano

​Caleb began playing piano at a young age, performing in his first recital when he was 6.
Through his piano training, he developed a passion for playing and performing music. He has
partaken in the Calgary Performing Arts Festival and earned several Gold and Red certificates
as a solo performer. Caleb further expanded his music pursuits when he started playing the
trombone in grade 7.

Caleb’s desire to challenge his musical abilities led him to earn his RCM Level 10 Piano
certificate (Honors with Distinction) in June 2020. Caleb also completed his Level 10 Harmony &
Counterpoint certificate in May 2020 and Level 10 Music History certificate in August 2019.

Caleb is currently an engineering and business student at the University of Calgary. Along with
piano, he is a self-taught guitarist and bass guitarist and was a trombonist in junior and senior
high school. His favourite composers are Chopin, Rachmaninoff and Flea of the Red Hot Chili
Peppers.
