Diego started playing the piano when he was 5 years old, first learning from his father and then moving on to work with a teacher. He completed all of the requirements for his ARCT in piano performance in May 2019 and has been teaching ever since. Diego has a passion for classical and romantic music, particularly the likes of Chopin and Beethoven.
Since age 7, Diego has competed annually in the Kiwanis/Calgary Performing Arts Festival, taking home many red and gold certificates over the years. He also enjoys performing for the students at his old elementary school and for seniors in seniors’ homes and hospice care centres. When not playing the piano, Diego is hard at work as a Bachelor of Commerce student at the University of Calgary. Outside of music, his biggest passions are hockey and skiing.
Diego's students describe him as very patient, great at explaining things, and wonderful with children!
