Giselle began playing piano at age 8, and has completed her RCM Level 8 Piano Certificate, and Level 9 Music History. She has also studied at the University of Calgary in a Bachelor of Arts Music program for 3 years. During her university studies, she has honed her musicianship and harmony knowledge, studied elementary music education, conducted an ensemble, and composed for several instruments in various musical styles. As an experienced performer, she has played in symphonic bands for 5 years as a euphonium and trumpet player in high school and university. Furthermore, she was also involved in her high school’s jazz band as the pianist.
Giselle began teaching piano in September of 2023. As a piano teacher, she acknowledges that each student is different and learns at their own pace. She believes that each lesson should be engaging and catered to the student's learning needs. Her approach aims to build confidence, foster independence and creativity, all while developing her students' skills as musicians. She hopes to inspire her students and support them to reach their full potential. She enjoys watching her students grow and develop their skills and love for music.
Outside of music, she is a pediatric LPN who works with children with a wide range of disabilities and health needs. In her free time, she likes to play video games, strum the ukulele, draw, and make bracelets.
