Josée holds a baccalaureate in primary education from Laval University in Québec City. She teaches piano, flute, theory and history in both French and English. She has been teaching since 1987 for different school boards across Alberta as well as privately. In 2005 she completed her associateship in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) . Josée has been singing for sixteen years with the Calgary Philharmonic Choir in the alto section and is an active member of APTA, CFMTA, ARMTA and Côterie. She enjoys teaching all ages from 5 years to adults and all styles of music from classical to jazz and pop. She also incorporates off-bench activities to reinforce music concepts.Josée individualises her lesson plans according to the needs of her students and their musical tastes. Josée believes that music should be shared and so offers regular performance opportunities in supportive environments such as group lessons, festivals, and recitals.
